Traditional Swimming Event at Nordbad Trier
This year’s Peter & Paul Swim Meet will take place from 30 to 31 May 2026 at the Nordbad Trier swimming pool. It will be the 43rd edition of the event. As an open competition with no limit on participant numbers, the event has grown over the years into the largest festival of its kind in the Rhineland.
The event is held under the patronage of the Mayor for Social Affairs, Education, Youth, Integration, and Sport of Trier, Ms Britta Weizenegger.
A new addition to the event is the “Ingrid Horst Versatility Cup”, established in memory of Ingrid Horst, who passed away in October 2025. The competition serves as a special tribute to her long-standing connection with and significant contribution to SSV Trier.

Sessions 1 to 3 including knockout finals (breaststroke and backstroke); Session 4 will be held as an evening event
Sunday, 31 May 2026
Sessions 5 & 6, including knockout finals (butterfly & freestyle), followed by fun relays
Rules and regulations:
The event will be conducted in accordance with the Competition Regulations (CR), the Legal Code, the Anti-Doping Regulations and the specific youth protection rules of the German Swimming Federation (DSV).
Participation is open to all members of clubs or teams affiliated with a federation that is a member of World Aquatics.
Entries:
Entries must be submitted electronically in DSV7 format, including the entry form (DSV Form 101) and entry list (DSV Form 102). Submission via LENEX file with a control printout is also possible upon request. Entries should be sent by email to meldung[at]swim-ko.de.
By submitting entries, the entering club confirms the medical fitness of its registered athletes (§11 para. 2 CR). Entries must be rejected if this declaration is not provided.

- 50 m, 100 m and 200 m races in all strokes
- 400 m freestyle (swum with two swimmers per lane)
- 800 m freestyle (maximum of 24 participants, swum with two swimmers per lane)
- 5000 m freestyle (evening event; maximum of 12 participants; swum with two swimmers per lane)
- Age-group and knockout finals across all 50 m races
- Mixed Fun Relay (8 x 100 m) – more details to follow
